| LIFE IN SOLERA | NOVEMBER 2024 | 31
October found the Solera Sippers going on a treasure hunt with
our Pirates Plunder event (photos next month). Everyone had a
"pirate" name, and many came in costumes. Best costumes were
awarded a prize. After a catered dinner of Hawaiian chicken and
tri tip, a lighthearted trivia game led to one table finding the buried
treasure. The whole table won rum and cokes and gift cards. It
pays to play.
This month is a limited seating event where we'll get to taste and
vote on several wine varietals. If you like wine, this is a "must do"
event.
Our yearend Christmas/Holiday party is on the horizon, so you'll
want to sign up early for this one. It always sells out quickly.
All Solera residents are welcome in the Solera Sippers. We are the
largest club in the community for a reason — we know how to have
a good time. The only requirement (besides living in Solera) is the
desire to have fun!
For membership or other information, please contact Gary Stoh
at (951) 845-1981 or garymstoh@aol.com. You can find our simple
club application on the SoleraOVG.org website. Once there, click
'Clubs & Groups.' Scroll down and click 'Solera Sippers.' Now click
on 'Solera Sippers Page.'
Point To Ponder: "Wine is constant proof that God loves us and
loves to see us happy." ~ Benjamin Franklin (liberties taken with
quote as he originally said beer… but wine is better - sorry, Ben)
