FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2024 5 Message from the Board Road repairs began on Oct. 7 and continue at this time. Information on the schedule for the streets to be repaired has been published each Thursday for the following week. We have been told what days our neighborhood streets will be closed, then opened again, and where we can park. Our golf carts have been authorized to be used on the sidewalks of affected streets to help our residents get out of their neighborhood. Please drive slowly, carefully, and be watchful for pedestrians and objects on the sidewalk. As soon as you pass the necessary street closure, please get off the sidewalk and travel safely in the roadway where you would normally travel. In 2025, Four Seasons at Beaumont will be 20 years old and we are in the process of doing a face lift. Some of the improvements made in the last year include the following: At the Bistro, we painted the kitchen and dining area, purchased new chairs, and installed new carpeting. We also installed carpeting in the Billiards Room, Theater, and Library. The Ballroom is scheduled for painting and carpeting in January 2025, as well as painting and carpeting the entire RCN building, also in January 2025. The Lodge pool and spa are scheduled to be resurfaced beginning in November 2024 after The Lodge pool closes for the winter and the heat is turned off. A new gazebo has been installed at the Paseo. Concrete resurfacing is scheduled for the Loggia behind The Lodge. All our pickleball, tennis, and paddle tennis courts were resurfaced in July. Many of our amenities have had resurfacing which has improved our club play for many of our residents. The State of the City of Beaumont was held last month in our Ballroom to a large crowd of our residents. The Mayor of Beaumont presented information along with our City Manager Elizabeth Gibbs as well as other department heads for the City of Beaumont. It was a very informative meeting and our residents raised many questions that were answered about the direction the city is going. Our Budget Subcommittee met in October to review our budget requirements for the HOA for 2025. As of this writing, because of the deadline on the Breeze publication, I do not have the final budget numbers. I will have the final budget numbers and the HOA dues by the Board of Directors meeting on Nov. 14 at the 1 pm Open Session. Please plan on attending that meeting. Our Solar PPA is still under review at this time and our Solar Team still lacks the information to consider the request for a new contract made by the solar company. As we start our holiday season of Thanksgiving, our Board of Directors would like to wish all our residents a healthy and happy Thanksgiving. The Board meets on the second Thursday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. "Meet with the Board" is a more informal setting on the third Wednesday of each month at 2 pm in the Ballroom. This forum allows Board members to engage in conversation with residents on almost any subject except confidential issues under litigation or discussed in Executive Session of the Board. Several Board members are in attendance this month. If you have any questions, please contact me at (951) 212-8898 or email jmonahan.fsb@gmail.com. By Jerry Monahan, Board President
