FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2024 7
The Banning Pointe Warehouse Project was reviewed by the
Banning City Council on Sept. 10. The vote of the City Council was
three to two to disapprove the Banning Pointe Project.
The developer can appeal the decision by the City Council. The
developer has filed a $25,000,000 lawsuit against the City of Banning
as a result of the Council's recent decision.
Additionally, the developer asked the City of Banning to have a
hearing as a result of the developer's belief that Sheri Flynn was
biased on her part in the decision to oppose the warehouse project.
Currently there is another warehouse that is being planned in
Banning at the Sunset Avenue area. The Planning Commission of
the City of Banning was postponed in September and the review
by the Banning Committee may not occur until the end of the year.
It is now going to design review, and the warehouse is reported to
be five million square feet with 100,000 square feet of retail office
space.
