FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2024 45 Are you having trouble with balance? Consider (line) dancing. It has proven to be a perfect exercise for those that need to work on their coordination and balance. The quick movements are good for increasing brain memory and heart health. With any weight- bearing exercise your bones get a good workout and help increase your bone density. All of us can benefit greatly from exercise with patterned movements such as line dancing. The repetition of the steps helps improve speed, balance and movement in everyday tasks. Our dance group has been going well. The attendance for the beginner's group has been slowly increasing. Many of us have returned from our vacation, so that is helping. We had our birthday potluck, celebrating July, August, and September dancers, and as usual it was well attended with plenty of good food. Our class schedule: Tuesday: 1:45 – 2:15 pm Novice; 2:15 – 3 pm Beginner – High Beginner; 3 – 3:30 pm Intermediate Wednesday: 3:30 – 4:30 pm Beginner – High Beginner; 4:30 – 5:15 pm Intermediate See you on the dance f loor! ~ Priscilla Robles, (909) 239-6464 Heart & Soul Line Dance The Let's Dance Club invites you to come join on Monday nights for fun and exercise with friendly people who like the challenge of learning something new every month. September saw us exploring the world of Latin dances, which can be a very nice way to get close to your partner and October was the month to learn how to Swing. This fall would be a good time to get ready for all the parties, cruises and dances on your agenda for the holidays by coming out on Monday nights at 6pm in the Ballroom at the Lodge. We are privileged to have professional instruction from our leader, Cindy Finley, who has a very encouraging and gentle style of teaching us all levels of dancing. Beginners, intermediate and advanced members of our social club all have a chance to practice and hone their skills in very casual environment that encourages learning. We enjoy each other's company and have a lot of fun. So, if you ever said, "I wish I could learn how to do that," when you see others dancing at an event you are attending, join us. We look forward to seeing you Mondays from 6 to 8 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. Until next time, Tom Olsen. You can contact me at (510) 866-7813 or cnj2401@msn. com. ~ Tom Olsen Let's Dance!
