Happy Thanksgiving FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2024 9 This month will really be focused on our Four Seasons Hometown Heroes — our wonderful veterans. On Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 am to 2 pm we will have the popular Veterans Car Show in The Lodge parking lot. You'll see our local ROTC group present the colors and the Bistro will be offering their car show breakfasts and sandwiches at lunch time at the show site. This is always a community favorite! We need your help to judge the cars, so come on out and join us to honor our veterans. The very same weekend, stop into The Lodge to check out our resident Hometown Hero storyboards. Their stories were fantastic and I'm sure you don't want to miss the insights from your veteran neighbors. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 6 pm in the RCN will be the 2025 Annual Event Lottery for clubs, groups, and classes to choose special event dates for next year. You do not have to come to this meeting if you are a Club Captain who will be having parties during your regular meeting times. All clubs, groups, and classes will retain their current meeting schedules in the next year, unless you need to make a meeting change. That will not be happening during this lottery; contact Luke Shelton to check for availability. If you like homegrown music, you definitely don't want to miss our Four Seasons Musician's Guild, Acoustic Showcase on Friday, Nov. 22 in The Lodge Ballroom. The doors will open at 5:30 pm and the concert will start at 6 pm. What a great time to hear the tremendous tunes and talent of our musicians! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! ~ Cindy Graves Activities Director's Report More than 767 children had a special Christmas last year, thanks in large part, to the residents of Four Seasons! You were joined by other retirement communities, schools, churches, businesses, service clubs, and many members of the community to fulfill the Christmas wishes and fill the stomachs of more than 258 families within the Beaumont Unified School District. Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 1, the Winter Wish Program is, again, asking for your compassionate participation in the 2024 Winter Wish Gift and Food Drive. To participate in this year's gift giving, simply select a paper tag and check the tag out with the front desk. Then return the wrapped gift with the attached tag (outside the gift) to the desk attendant, absolutely no later than Friday, Dec. 1, at 5 pm. ~ Pam Dopf WINTER WISH
