Bridge Club Holiday Party By Jo Wakham, 951-698-5355 The RV Club is gearing up for the largest trip of the year. We're headed to Coachella Lakes RV Park Nov. 10 - 14. It is a new park and the first time the club has visited the park. We have about 40 people signed up and some exciting things on the agenda. It's not too late to sign up so if you're interested in camping or glamping with the Roadrunners, give me a call at 714-330-0160 or email laflls1@ sbcglobal.net. Remember to mark your calendars for the RV Club Holiday Dinner on Dec. 17! Roadrunners RV Club By Laurie Freres, 714-330-0160 In November, we will be discussing Master Slave Husband Wife: An Epic Journey from Slavery to Freedom by Ilyon Woo. It has been called "spellbinding," "a gripping adventure," and "suspenseful and wonderfully told," and I fully agree with these comments. It details the true story of the planning and execution of a daring plan on the part of Ellen and William Craft, held as slaves in Georgia in 1848, to escape the South by railroad, steamboat, and stagecoach to a life of freedom in the North, with Ellen disguised as a male slaveholder and William posing as "his" slave. You are invited to join us as we discuss this book when the Book Club gathers in the Meeting Room on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 10:30 am. There will not be a book discussion in December, but we will have a social get-together on Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the Meeting Room at 10:30 am. Book Club By Eleanor Newhard, 951-600-0773
