Bowling Hank Fleischer, 714-272-3684 Dancers from L to R: Daphne Iacobo, Dee March, Gloria Carroll, Lulu Scott, Jan Miller, Patti Christiansen, Meilin Motter. September's Paddle Tennis Tournament was canceled due to the 100+ degree weather, so imagine our surprise when October 4 came and the temperature was again projected going to be 100! Not to be denied a second time, the tournament proceeded. Paddle players are tough — or maybe just very determined? Our usual players were rounded out with the addition of tennis players John Gonzales, Jeanne Duggan, Donna Biksacky and Mike Herrick, and as it happened, Donna, a first-time tournament player, was our ladies winner! We hope all of you will join us again. Rob Chandler emerged as the top game winner for the men. Congratulations to you both! "Colony Cowboys & Girls" was the theme of the September Racquet Club Dinner, which was hosted by Loretta Woolner, Joanie Sailer, Sue Steele and Sharon Smith. Great food along with good country music was enjoyed by all. Thank you, ladies, for a fabulous evening. Are you interested in joining or learning a fun racquet sport while getting in shape? Call Jeanne Bender at 949-295-5412 for tennis, or Karen Nichols at 619-550-8194 for paddle tennis. We would love to see you on the courts! Racquet Club By Karen Nichols, 619-550-8194
