| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2024 | 21 It's hard to believe three years have f lown by so quickly since we started our Quilt Club, Seasons Quilters. It's even harder to believe that with so much sewing talent within our community, a successful 'Quilting Bee' wasn't formed a long time ago. Such are the threads of time, carefully stitching together what is now a core group of ladies who come together every Thursday, thoroughly enjoying their rewarding passion for quilting. We learn from each other, share pride in each other's individual talent, and often agree on completing projects together. To commemorate our anniversary, our festive lunch in September at Bennihana's, Temecula is pictured here. As we wind up the year attempting to finish our UFO projects, (Unfinished "Opportunities"), two of our members embarked on a get-a-way retreat. Pictured here are the same pattern, delightfully called 'The Big Easy' however, choosing two different color palettes set these two quilts far apart. Henrietta Dorner, sewing together blocks in the hues of blue and green completely changes the dynamic from Jenell Lamb's choice colors of magenta and pink hues. Utilizing the common theme of black and white between the blocks is the only similarity to these two very diverse patterns. Choice truly is in the eye of the beholder, not to mention, 'choosing' to have fun in the process! Great job ladies! To date, there are far too many Quilting Bees in America to count, and world-wide, the passion for this unique craft is forever evolving. With pride and enthusiasm we can now add Four Seasons Quilters to this age-old pastime. Seasons Quilters meets EVERY Thursday, (except the fourth Thursday) in the Arts & Crafts Room from 10 am to 4 pm breaking for lunch at the Bistro at 12:30 pm. In November, we will meet on the 7th, 14th, 21st. Happy Thanksgiving to our Four Seasons friends and family. May your table be bountiful and your hearts full.
