8 | THE COLONY NEWS | DECEMBER 2024 | ACCESS CONTROL & SAFETY Security Statistics For October, there were a total of 24,963 gate entries recorded consisting of guests, recreational vehicles, vendors, and golfers. Allied Security performed seven property/residence checks and issued 103 citations for stop sign violations. There were 30 medical, fire, and police incidents. Allied cited 44 residents for various resident parking violations and guest/vendor violations. 42 residents were cited for putting trash cans out too early and/ or not putting them away. 33 garage doors were found to be open and Allied made calls to each resident to advise them to close their garage doors. Allied responded to 105 miscellaneous incidents related to deceased residents, dogs (barking, lost, off leash), signage (not allowed), disorderly conduct, gate strikes/tailgaters, missing resident, reckless driving suspicious activity, trespassers, welfare checks, broken/burst water lines, and streetlights out. CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY GUEST PASSES To relieve traffic congestion at the Jackson Avenue gate on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, you may obtain a "Special One Day Entry Pass" in advance for your guests to use on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25. When your guest(s) present the pass to the gate attendant upon entry, they will be promptly admitted into the community. Please note that these guest passes will be accepted only at the Main Gate located on Jackson Avenue throughout the entire day. Residents may obtain this Special One Day pass for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the HOA office beginning Monday, Dec. 2. You will need to provide your guest name as well as your name and address. HOA staff will fill in the information on the passes and give them to you for mailing, emailing, or texting to your expected visitors. If your guest is planning on spending the night, please make sure that they have passes for both days displayed on their vehicle dashboard. It is recommended that you send out the passes on or before Monday, Dec. 16, to ensure your guests receive them in time for the holiday. Happy holidays to you and your family.
