30 | LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2024 | HIGH NOTES FROM KARAOKE We of the Solera's Goodtimes Karaoke group thank everyone who have supported our karaoke events all year long in 2024. Join us for our last karaoke for 2024 on Fri., Dec. 20 in the Oakmont Clubhouse. The potluck starts at 5:30 pm for those who contribute followed by karaoke at 6 pm. Let's keep the fun of the music we love alive as we celebrate the season. We will continue to keep a fresh disinfected microphone ready for you as we close 2024 and bring in 2025. First place was awarded to Tom Chase, second place to Louise Sesto, and third place to Penny and Lloyd Harbison. John Haight, Lois Ingham, and Marty Mangan also provided chilis to sample; the competition was fierce! We also held elections for the 2025 Bon Appetit Board with Carolyn Keierleber being installed as President, Mark Schrader as Vice President, Janet Carpenter as Treasurer, and Debra Eudy as Secretary. Awesome quilter Barbara Skaret donated a quilt that was raff led to support the Beaumont High School Culinary Program, and Pam Davidson was the lucky winner. Our Holiday Luncheon is Fri., Dec. 6 at 12 pm at the Beaumont High School and it is being catered by the Beaumont High School Culinary Program students. We will also have the Bon Appetit cookbooks, A Taste of Solera, for sale at $10 each. Proceeds from the sale of our cookbooks are donated to the Beaumont High School Culinary Program and student scholarships. As always, we couldn't put on these events without the help and support of our amazing club members. Thank you for your enthusiasm!
