| LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2024 | 25
At the November meeting Solera resident, Rick Nelson, gave a very
interesting talk to a crowd of 30 on the 1963 Kennedy Assassination.
New and improved (edited) film footage of the assassination during
the Nov. 22 motorcade in Dallas definitely showed the world several
shooters, including Lee Harvey Oswald, were involved and the
Warren Commission's "Lone Shooter" conclusion was wrong.
On Dec. 2, Richard Crowe will speak to the World's brief history
of dirigibles, the most famous of which was Nazi Germany's
Hindenburg, pictured at right, top.
Richard's talk will include America's experiment with dirigibles,
one of which, the USS Akron, is shown at right, bottom, in a photo
taken by Richard's father in May 1932 at what eventually became
the U.S. Navy's west coast dirigible base, Moffett Field, located near
San Jose, California.

including the Kinara, Mkeka, Muhindi, Mazao, and Zawadi, as well as
