| LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2024 | 27
November found the Solera Sippers enjoying a 'wine-centric'
event, which was the opportunity to taste and compare some
reasonably priced wines (approximately $20) from both the USA
and other countries side-by-side. This was a clever approach to
educate oneself on the differences that the same grape varietals
have coming from very different locations.
Our year-end Christmas/Holiday party on Dec. 14 is always
a popular event and will be well attended. Sign up early for this
one. Santa and his Jolly Elf will be there. Solera Sippers will once
again be collecting monetary donations for the Loma Linda Ronald
McDonald House. Everyone who donates will qualify for a raff le of
a couple of beautiful gift baskets.
In January, we will enjoy a fun – and lively - 'Name That Tune'
event. Even if your knowledge of music isn't strong (like yours
truly), you should still come out to absorb the fun and frivolity.
Solera Sippers is all about having fun, regardless of the theme of
an event.
Remember, ALL Solera residents are welcome in the Solera
Sippers. The only requirement (besides living in Solera) is that
desire to have a good time!
