| LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2024 | 5 Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) The CTAC Committee would like to share some new easy tips to continue to keep you and our community safe and crime-free. With fall now here and the winter months approaching fast, there are more hours of darkness. This means it is important to check that our exterior lights are working properly, including your pathway and address light. When adding holiday lights, remember not to overload electrical circuits, creating a potential fire hazard. To save money and illuminate the exterior of your residence after dark, consider changing exterior light bulbs for automatic dusk to dawn LED light bulbs. When using ladders to change light bulbs or add holiday lighting to your residence, ensure the ladder is in good condition, the feet are firmly placed on solid surfaces and never use the top step. Daylight saving time is not just a time to set your clocks back, Use this as a reminder to change your home smoke detector and carbon monoxide batteries along with your heater air filter. Take the opportunity to check security alarms, cameras and access control systems, replacing batteries as necessary. Ensure your property is kept free of fallen leaves to prevent slip and fall hazards. A well maintained property not only enhances curb appeal, but can discourage criminal activity. Don't allow unknown vehicles to tailgate when entering unmanned gates. Always keep pedestrian gates secured after entering/exiting. If unmanned gates do not close, immediately report this to security so they can respond to secure the area. The CTAC committee wants you to have a safe holiday season! Always remember to report any unusual activity to Security at (951) 666-9577, Beaumont Police at (951) 769-8500 or 9-1-1 if Emergency, and the HOA Management team at (951) 769-7598. The CTAC Committee will continue to provide frequent Safety and Security tips to help keep you informed, safe and secure! e Safety & Security Sentinel
