16 | OHCC LIVING | DECEMBER 2024 |
The holiday season is upon us again.
Thanksgiving has come and gone. The
food and football are over, but we should
continue to reflect and be thankful for
what we have. We are all very grateful
for our dear family and friends, and our
dancing. Unfortunately, we are sad to say
that we have lost an integral member of
our dance family, Nancy Ballard.
Nancy Ballard left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew
her. She was a beacon of warmth and
kindness that will continue to illuminate
our hearts even in her absence. Her passing
leaves a profound void, but the memories
she helped create will forever serve as a
testament to her remarkable spirit and the
joy she brought to every moment.
Here are some words from her fellow
dancers:
She had a way of making others seen and
valued.
We will never forget the laughter she
shared during our practices.
Nancy was my rst friend at Tap. She
always had kind words and big smiles. We did a lot of practice on
RV trips, too. Such a beautiful, strong friend. I will miss her dearly.
We had so much fun together at practice and at our shows. And
even though the shows made her nervous, she still went out there
and did a great job dancing.
She gave all dancers unwavering support.
Nancy may be gone, but her memory will remain a precious gift,
a constant reminder to live life to the fullest, embrace kindness, and
cherish every moment. We will forever carry her love for dance
within us.
May this holiday season bring you good health, peace and
happiness. Hold your loved ones dearly. And keep on dancing!
