Hey everyone, we're inviting more players,
whether new to the game or experienced,
to come out and play dominoes with us on
Wednesday and Friday evenings! We offer
joyful, fun-filled sets where players match
their wits and gaming styles while attempting
to "domino" — or play their last bone before
other players can. There is strategy involved,
especially for more competitive players. Still,
we can enjoy and do offer relaxing sets where
the aim is playing the game, win or lose.
For our more competitive players, the
Dominoes Club has decided to announce
winners every quarter. We last announced
the quarterly winners for summer 2024 in the
November Breeze. The next announcement
for the winners of the Fall Quarter – October
through December 2024 – will take place in
January 2025 and post in the February 2025
Breeze. At that time, we should present the
winner(s) with a trophy. So, players … get
ready, get set, and go! We'll see who emerges
victorious by the end of December!
Shout outs to our rotating deejays —
Pete Antoine, Frank Turner, and Roxanne
Williams — for regularly providing the
soulful and rousing music at our gaming
sessions. The music truly adds to the mellow
vibes. Also, shout outs to: those players who
bring out treats for us to enjoy; Jan White and
John Johns for "keeping score" while keepin'
us honest; and Jesse Dimmer, Reggie Fuqua,
and Pete Antoine for continually keeping the
club together. Last, but not least, shout out to
all the players who come out "rain or shine"
to support us and have a great time!
So, come on out and join us for an
enjoyable evening "slamming bones." The
Dominoes Club plays every Wednesday and
Friday from 6 until 9 pm in the Game Room.
Novice players are encouraged to come out,
on Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6 pm, to
learn the game.

66 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2024
Hearts
We play Hearts every Tuesday at 6 pm in The Lodge Game Room. We welcome new players. If you don't know how to play, we'll be happy
to teach you. Seating is done by random card draw. Try your luck at getting all the hearts plus the queen of spades. That takes 26 points off
of your score, or, if you choose, adds 26 points to all the other players at the table. The jack of diamonds takes 10 points off of your score. The
lowest score wins. It is lots of fun and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday evenings.
