Sun Lakes Charitable Trust will present an English Tea Party
on Sat., Feb. 1, 2025. The annual event will be held at the South
Clubhouse, doors open at 1:30 pm, tea will be served from 2 to 4 pm.
Tickets are $45 each and are on sale on Sat., Dec. 7, and Wed., Dec. 11
from 3 to 5 pm. Payment is by cash or check and the event is for Sun
Lakes residents ONLY. Should you wish to sit with specific people,
please bring an envelope with ALL the checks inside along with a
note of their names and telephone numbers. Make checks payable
to Sun Lakes Charitable Trust. Tables will be for eight people only.
This is a Traditional English Afternoon Tea so come and enjoy a
great selection of homemade food and enjoy drinking a cup of tea
out of a bone china cup. All tableware will be provided. We hold a
Best Hat and Best Ensemble competition, for which there are prizes,
therefore we encourage you to put on your finest hat and your fanciest
clothes.
A glass of champagne or a mimosa is included with your ticket and
further glasses or a bottle of champagne can be purchased at a cost of
$5 per glass or $18 for a bottle. Cash or credit cards will be accepted.
No outside alcohol is permitted.
Raffle tickets will be sold at this event six for $5, 15 for $10, or 35
for $20 (cash or credit card) and there will be a live auction for your
own Private Traditional English Tea for a total of eight people to be
held at Carole Russell's home in Sun Lakes. As in the past, eight ladies
get together and bid on this; it has been very successful in helping
to raise money for the Charitable Trust. This year we will accept one
credit card for the winning bid and you can work out your payment
to the individual paying with the credit card. Minimum bid will
be $300 so you may want to discuss this with your friends prior to
arriving to know what your limit is if you wish to bid. We will work
with the group on a date that works for everyone.
