The Bingo Advisory Committee would like to thank our Sun Lakes residents for their continual support of Tuesday night bingo here in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Our mission is to entertain our guests and support our local charities. This year has been very successful. Again, thank you for your support. Just a reminder, there is no bingo in December. The Main Clubhouse Ballroom will be used for holiday parties and other functions. We will be back in January, 2025, for another great year. Game nights will be Jan. 14, 21, and 28. Bingo Advisory In our October meeting, we discussed highlights of the Association's September financials and prepared recommendations for the Master Board and questions to the management team. Specifically we are requesting more information on staffing and vacation accruals, cash recovery, and the variance report. We are concerned with the finances of the HOA Operations, Food & Beverage, and Golf Course Operations which combined show a negative variance to budget of $472K. In some accounts we expect to recover due to the seasonal utility usage such as water and power. Also we expect some recovery in revenue with the opening of the Lounge & Restaurant. The FAC was also involved in presenting the Treasurer's financial update at the open Board session in October with a goal of creating visibility for all residents regarding the HOA financial performance. Our charter states we are allowed 11 members for our committee. We are recruiting for four more members. Qualifications are: • Knowledge of accounting methods & procedures • Ability to prepare & evaluate financial budgets & reports • Ability to evaluate a reserve study & an expenditure report If you would like to discuss committee member duties give me a call. Our next meeting is Jan. 15 at 2 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Bingo Advisory Recreation Advisory ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY Join the Recreation Department for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony which has been changed to Mon., Dec. 2. The festivities begin at 5 pm in the Main Clubhouse parking lot. Afterward, we will provide holiday entertainment as well as refreshments in the Ballroom. Wear your holiday attire and join the crowd for a fun- filled evening. HOLIDAY WISH PROGRAM Dec. 10 is the Holiday Wish Program from 8 am to 3 pm in the Bus Room. NEW YEAR'S EVE 'A Moment In Time' is the theme for the New Year's Eve Dinner on Dec. 31 from 6 pm until midnight in the Ballroom. Get dressed to the nines and party all evening. A delicious dinner is planned along with music and activities. CHRISTMAS HOME DECORATING CONTEST If you would like to participate in the Christmas Home Decorating contest you may pick up an application in the Main Clubhouse until Dec. 8. Judging will take place the week of Dec. 9 and the winners will be announced Dec. 16. THE HOLIDAY GOLF CART PARADE The Holiday Golf Cart Parade will take place Dec. 13 at 5:30 pm. Registration will be accepted until Dec. 8. Pick up your application in the Main Clubhouse. Many fun and exciting events are being planned for 2025.
