Beginner's Class has started … hurry, be ready for our upcoming Sun Lakes Follies show in the fall. Tap shoes are provided and class fee is $40 per month. We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 12 noon in the North Clubhouse. It's lots of fun and we are just waiting for you to "tap on by!" We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Thank you to party coordinators Rita and Tiziana, everyone who assisted them, and everyone who attended for another fantastic IDS Halloween party. The decorations set the tone for the evening perfectly. The costumes were elegant, silly, scary, creative, nostalgic, and much more, with Patricia Juarez taking the prize for best costume. Vicki W, Jonene, Lourdes, Tiziana, Nora, Acel and Tiffany delighted the crowd when they transformed into zombies right before our eyes and performed the riller dance. We enjoyed a delicious dinner of Italian food, played games, and closed out the evening dancing to music provided by Ed Avina. Good fun! Country Western Dance Our line dance lessons have been well attended. We meet every Monday night in the South Clubhouse from 6:30 to 8 pm. During each lesson, we review the dances we learned in previous sessions and learn one or two new dances. Experienced line dancers and quick learners are welcome to join the club anytime during the year. Beginner classes will start again in September 2025. Dues are $20 per year and there is a fee of $3 per class. Our Christmas party will take place on Mon., Dec. 9 in our usual South Clubhouse location at 6:30 pm. We will have a catered dinner, games, and door prizes. No charge for members. $15 for guests. That night, we will be collecting cash donations for the Holiday Wish program, as we do each Christmas.
