38 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2024 | If you have a classic car, love to ride or sit in one, talk about or just look at one, you need to join our club! We have no membership fees or dues, and our meetings are once a month and very short. We begin at 9 am on the first Saturday of every month in the parking lot of the Main Clubhouse. We display our cars and talk shop, and at 9:30 am we meet in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room for a very short meeting. We announce car shows, discuss upcoming activities and events, and then go out together for breakfast. Men and women, husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, are all welcome. We're all about fun and good fellowship, and we're looking for new members to share our good vibe. You don't even need to own a classic car. Come join us and expand your social life! Be sure to bring a chair. Cruzin' Cronies Sun Lakes Follies Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas to all! Here we are at the end of another year. I do hope it was good to all of you. We are looking forward to a New Year 2025! We had a great Follies Show in October. We received many, many great responses about our show. Many said it was the "best show ever." We have our work cut out for us to bring you another "best show ever" production. We will have a members-only Christmas Party on Wed., Dec. 4 from 6 to 8 pm in the North Clubhouse. I do hope you have taken your checks to Lloyd Friedman at 785 Twin Hills (North Side) by now. The cost is $15 for members and $15 for guests. We will not have a general meeting in December. Please be sure to come to our first meeting on Jan. 16 at 1 pm in the North Clubhouse To current members, please be sure to come and sign-up for your acts. If you were at our November general meeting, you know that the 2025 theme is "Mardi Gras!" Residents who think they would like to join our Follies, you are invited to come, see, and hear what we are all about. We welcome all talent, of course, but we also need people with experience in sound, back stage, etc. With that, I will close with a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! I hope to see you all next year. If you have any questions, please call me, Joanne Graham, President, at (714) 964-8129 (H) or (714) 469-1946 (C); if no answer, please leave a message … I will call you back. Chorale The Chorale of Sun Lakes proudly presents its 37th Annual Holiday Concert Series on Fri., Dec. 6 and Sat., Dec. 7 at 7 pm, and Sun., Dec. 8 at 3 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. We'll sing all your favorite Christmas and Hanukkah songs, with lots of fun packed into our program. Tickets ($12 adults, $6 children under 12) are available at the door. After the show, we'll rest our voices for a few weeks, then get together again in January to prepare for our 38th Annual Spring Concerts. The Chorale of Sun Lakes is open to membership for any Sun Lakes resident. The Chorale has five sections: Sopranos, Altos, Tenors, Basses, and Baritones. Practice sessions are held on Mondays from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm. Prior to each concert, additional practices for individual sections are held.
