Frank Millard Eckard July 4, 1937 – September 13, 2024. Frank was born in Los Angeles,
California, and lived there until his teens. His parents moved to El Monte where he graduated from El
Monte High School and later attended Pasadena City College.
Frank married Mae Crenshaw from Tampa, Florida on December 29, 1962. They raised three children:
Kandi Ashcraft, Kori Eckard, and Kraig Eckard in San Dimas, CA.
Frank's first job was with the County Sanitation District, starting out as a chainman, followed by
a surveyor, and later head surveyor. He retired after working 37 years with the County and thoroughly
enjoyed his work.
Frank and Mae moved to Sun Lakes in 2004 and have enjoyed living in the wonderful community. Frank
was introduced to the Billard Players Club by Dennis Sauer and looked forward to playing and being with
all his buddies every day.
His love for the Dodgers has carried on throughout his life, with a wonderful celebration for his 80th
birthday party at a suite at the stadium attended by all his family from out of state and locally.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife Mae, Margie and Earl Eddy (sister and brother-in-law), and his
loving children Kandi and Kraig Eckard and daughter in-law Sonia Eckard. He is also survived by his
grandchildren Kyle, Karly, Jake, Max, Jack, Elliott, and Millie. Frank was preceded in death by his son Kori,
parents Millard and Margaret, and sister Agnes. He will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed.
