| OHCC LIVING | JANUARY 2025 | 29 Pet Lovers Club Happy New Year to all our OHCC friends and neighbors. For our 2024 fourth annual Presents for Pets, we put together 63 gift bags for the AniMeals clients of the San Marcos Meals-on- Wheels program. We had 51 cats and 46 dogs on the list for the 63 clients. Every pet got at least one or more treats and toys, and each client received a 2025 calendar and holiday card. Sat., Nov. 30, four of us had a great time putting our bags together. If you still want to donate you can leave a check at the Clubhouse or in my tube and any toys and treats can be brought to my house at 4909 Tilos Way. This will help for a start for 2025 fifth annual Presents for Pets. The recipients are so thankful for our generosity. We also collected $425 in donations to Helen Woodward Animal Center who provides food for the AniMeals program sponsored by Meals-on-Wheels Do Dues Day is Sat., Jan. 11. The 2025 PLC dues will be $10 per household. Checks should be made out to OHCC Pet Lovers Club. Please let us know of any changes in the people residing in your household so we can make changes to our member list. For any new members, please include names of all household members, the address, email and cell/home number on your check or on a note sheet. Checks can be left at the Clubhouse front desk or brought to the PLC table on Do Dues Day. As a 2025 reminder, please remember to include the names of your pets on your form submitted for registration of your vehicles for 2025. Also, please be sure that your dogs are registered with the San Diego Humane Society as is required by the county and that you always keep a collar on your dogs with your name and cell number so we can reunite you with your pets if they accidentally get out of your yard. Pets should also be microchipped. ~ Ellen Kippel, President, OHCC Pet Lovers Club, (714) 893-7621 (CELL) Celebrate National Citrus Month with the OHCC Garden Club!
