First, let me start with a reminder: the Annual Meeting & Election is being held on Feb. 14 at 10 am in Webb Hall. Please don't forget to send in your ballot or drop it in the drop box next to the office! We do not anticipate major construction this coming year on campus. However, we cannot predict emergency repairs, which include sewer or water lines, for example. We will continue with regular maintenance of the campus with some great changes coming up. If you noticed, SCE dug up the parking lot along Cherry Hills Boulevard through the pool area parking lot to run new cables for a new vault that is being installed next to the maintenance yard. Thankfully, this was all at their expense. As mentioned in the Core Courier, payment plans are available for the 2025 assessments. PLEASE set up a payment plan as soon as possible if you are unable to pay the annual assessment all at once. Time tends to get away from us, and we forget to get some important things done. We still have room to accommodate the addition of Memorial Bricks for Veterans. If you are interested in purchasing and customizing a brick, please visit the office to view the costs and place an order. We need a minimum of five bricks ordered to begin the process, and it will take up to 12 weeks to receive. Once the brick is received, we will install it at the Memorial area. Speaking of the Veterans Memorial area, a very successful Veterans Day event was held there with approximately 70 persons attending to honor Veterans. The Quilting Club presented Quilts of Valor to several local Veterans, including resident Larry Cohan, a proud Marine Corps Veteran. Thank you to all that attended this great event. There are a few events coming up this month: • Bingo with raffles and refreshments, sponsored by HCAG Medicare Insurance Agency on Wed., Jan. 15 at 11 am and 2 pm in Webb Hall. • A Mental Health Awareness presentation sponsored by HCAG Medicare Insurance Agency on Sat., Jan. 25 at 10 am in Webb Hall, which will include a raffle, snacks, and refreshments. Since the Courier articles are a month in advance, we will publish the winners of the holiday lighting contest in the upcoming issue. I look forward to 2025 as we have many great events planned!
