TWO recent Sunshine Kindness Awards! To Patty Jones (at right, top) – known as the Community Go-To person for EVERYONE; she is a caregiver, driver, cook, shopper, food and medicine deliverer, and pet walker/sitter. And so much more! To Irene Becker (at right, bottom) for her act of kindness to Cookie Scott and her fur-baby Iris. When Cookie lost husband, Scotty, Irene galvanized Team Iris volunteers to walk Iris. Irene kept the team going for almost three months and Cookie will be forever grateful! Sunshine assisted with a beautiful celebration of life in honor of Dave Yauger, held in the Ballroom on Dec. 6. e gathering featured a military bugler and ag salute in appreciation of Dave's service in our United States Army. We are saddened to learn of the passing of Leon Nemirovsky and have reached out to the family to oer our assistance. We extend our condolences to Leon's family and to all residents who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Please join Team Sunshine at our next meeting on Mon.,Jan. 6 at 10:30 am in the Ballroom. Our latest Sunshine news… On Dec. 8, Team Sunshine sponsored Worldwide Candle Lighting Day for Four Seasons residents. Worldwide Candle Lighting Day is a celebration of solidarity and memory. It's a day on which people around the world gather to light candles for children who have died and to show that they will always be loved and never forgotten… Everyone lights their candles at 7 pm in their local time zone. is results in a beautiful wave of light, traveling around the globe from time zone to time zone. It is believed that this is the biggest mass candle lighting in the world. (www. daysoheyear.com/days/worldwide-candle-lighting-day/) On Dec. 14, Team Sunshine proudly supported the Vintage Voices Christmas program; a very merry gathering of our community to celebrate the holiday season! Come and enjoy an evening of dinner, rae, dancing and karaoke for those of us who like to sing. Join us in the Ballroom on Jan. 3. Social at 5 pm with dinner at 5:30 pm, followed by a rae at 6:30 pm, and karaoke and dancing at 6:45 pm. Bring a dish to share with eight to 10 people. If you don't want to share you can bring your own meal. Bring your own table setting (plates, silverware and beverage of choice). All residents are welcome and this is a great way to meet new friends on the rst Friday of every month. TGIF/Karaoke
