For our December gathering, we had Generations perform. They were every bit as wonderful as always and as expected. We absolutely love this duo of brothers and they thoroughly brought it to our club this time! Some of their songs featured were Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Return to Sender, Run Around Sue, Poor Little Fool, and e Wanderer. Chris clarified that Run Around Sue was the reason they became The Wanderer and they were as interactive as always. They, of course, had to perform a Christmas song, so we got Jingle Bell Rock and they ended with God Bless e USA which got us all to our feet and truly touches the soul. They are beyond fabulous and we thank you, Kenny and Chris for blessing us with your music! The 80s Club is for our Sun Lakes residents near or over 80 years of age along with their guests, no matter their ages. Our events are always on the first Saturday of the month and begin at 3 pm, and include a brief meeting with announcements, then entertainment and the meals begin between 3:30 and 4 pm. Each month is very close to the capacity at the South Clubhouse so it makes for a very festive and interacting group. Come join us once for the meal price of $20 to see if you might enjoy our group and only if you do, do you need to join for the second time you attend. Our dues are $10 a year per person. Our meals are $20 per person. It is important to know that we will be dark in February but we will be back in March on March 1. So the deadline will be Feb. 23 for that event.
