| LIFE IN SOLERA | JANUARY 2025 | 41 Happy New Year to everyone! For seven years in a row Beverly Crowe has hosted a holiday celebration for all tennis ladies in her home. She decorates her home and her dining room table, cooks, and makes everyone feel special. This year Beverly made a delicious chili for all nine of us. She always has a live tree trimmed and on display for ambiance too. This year Beverly played the piano and sang a song she wrote about the tree. Beverly entertained us by playing Christmas carols as we sang along. One tradition we also do is a gift exchange where each person draws a number. Number 1 starts and opens a present. The next person can then take a gift that is already open or open a new one. This repeats until all have a gift. The lucky person who drew a number 1 gets the last play. They then choose to stop or they can take a gift from anyone. If they take a gift from someone, the person who lost their package can then stop or take someone else's. The END! It is SO MUCH FUN! URGENT … Tennis Clinic: Don't forget that in January, we will be holding a tennis clinic at the courts if there is enough interest shown. The exact date will be determined by the number of people who are interested. Please contact Beverly Crowe at (951) 769-1580 to sign up for the clinic. Please call if you are hoping to participate. We will try to accommodate people at all levels. ~ Shirley Ferguson TENNIS TITANS Back Row (L-R): Beverly Crowe, Carol Mee, Cindy Bice, Barbara Boutwell, Martha Hubbs, and Diane Gell Front row (L-R): Shirley Ferguson, Joanne Larson, and Terri Garcia Beverly Crowe with her Christmas tree
