Ronnie Zacker and Sheila Kelly Beaumont High School culinary school students Aer the party, some of us relaxed in the clubhouse with friends. L-R: Bianca Ralston, Debbra Pound, Tina Schrader December's holiday luncheon was a success because of the hard work by our Holiday Luncheon Committee. Overseen by committee chair, Judy Ferguson, the committee members were Ronnie Zacker, Sheila Kelly, Polly Baker, and Bon Appetit Board liaisons Bianca Ralston and Carolyn Keierleber. The event was held at Beaumont High School with the meal prepared by students enrolled in the culinary program under the supervision of Chef Jonathon Wiener, the teacher in charge of the BHS culinary program. The students were rewarded for their efforts with a chocolate gift created by Sandi Joel, who has presented to our club before. The students presented us with an adventurous menu that included several choices of salads, vegetables, meat dishes, and desserts — all delicious. Our holiday committee outdid themselves in decorating the tables in a blue, white, and silver array of trees, stars, angels and other festive traditional items. The raff le basket committee, Becky Thomas and Tina Schrader, provided a plethora of baskets and other items which were donated by members of the club. All proceeds of our raff les are collected to provide an annual scholarship for a deserving student in the culinary program. Once again, our generous members gave from their hearts and we collected a record amount for the program. The holiday party was an overwhelming success according to many of the attendees. The food was delicious, the students were amazing, and we truly enjoyed each others' company. Our next meeting is Fri., Jan. 3 from 1 pm to 3 pm in the Clubhouse Oakmont Rooms. All Solera residents are welcome as this meeting will be used as a membership drive and club information session. We will ask you for your ideas for the new year and sign up those interested in our committees. Finally, the 2025 Solera Bon Appetit Cooking Club Board will be President, Carolyn Keierleber; Vice President, Mark Schrader; Secretary, Debbie Eudy; and Treasurer, Janet Carpenter. All of us are available for your inquiries about this fun and educational club via email at bonappetitsolera@aol.com or ckeier2000@yahoo.com, phone/text (858) 736-5141. ~ Carolyn Keierleber BON APPETIT CLUB December's holiday luncheon was a success because of the hard work by our Holiday Luncheon Committee.
