QUILTERS
Well, it's a new year and time for new
projects for the Solera Quilters. Some of
us work on small items like potholders,
placemats and bibs for assisted living
homes. Some make table runners and lap
quilts. Then there are others who take on
large projects like full sized quilts. The
picture here shows what the process of
quilting such a quilt on a home machine
can look like. You need a reliable machine,
lots of room and a bit of muscle! Wrangling
one this large can be quite a workout. But
the results are very satisfying and beautiful.
Whichever item we tackle, we love to do it
and welcome anyone who wants to join this
fun and talented group!
Christmas ushered in only four community trees
at the Clubhouse this year and Knit and Crochet
again enjoyed being part of this tradition for the
third year. Thank you Carolyn, Olive, Becky, Rafea,
Shirley, Caryl for your contributions and showing how
homemade ornaments can make a Xmas tree fun and
different. Happy New Year and we are all thankful and
appreciative to Solera's staff and involved members
for your efforts and contributions to our Solera
community.
