30 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2025 Welcome to winter! This season will undoubtedly bring days of significant rain. When that happens, we'll be placing a lock on the gate for one to three days to restrict access to allow the decomposed granite (DG) to dry out. When the dogs are running around on the wet surface, or you are walking on it, deep impressions in the DG are created which may require future repair work. We had an enjoyable afternoon of conversation and wine at our November "Yappy Hour" in The Lodge. Several attendees won some very nice dog (and human) prizes. Hope you can attend when we have our next one in 2025. If you have not already done so, and you and your dog(s) are current members of the Canine Corral, please consider joining our Canine Corral Facebook Group, Four Seasons Canine Corral (https:// www.facebook.com/groups/638146317048512) to share pictures of your dogs in the Corral or to set up play dates. We currently have a group of members meeting on Saturdays at 9 am during our colder months. Please join us or set up alternative play dates with other members. The Canine Corral Committee is always looking for additional members to join the committee. If you are currently a member of the Corral, please consider coming to our meetings which are held on the first Thursday of each month at 10 am in the RCN Conference Room. Our meetings typically take one hour with minimal time spent during the rest of the year. It would be great to have members who could provide a new and different perspective to our group. All members are welcome to join. We currently have a roster which contains emails and phone numbers for each member of the Corral. We would like members to have this information to be able to set up play dates with each other. It is much more fun for both us and our dogs if we are not alone at the Corral. If you do not have a current roster, please email Adilene Gutierrez at Adilene.gutierrez@fsresidential.com to request a copy. ~ Lynn Jahnke lynnj92223@gmail.com Canine Corral The committee made an inspection walk of the East Edison Easement and Trail F in December. Claudia Rozzi led the group on the walk and conducted the meeting after the walk. During the walk, the group noted some trash, pet canine waste, and a large pile of fresh fill-dirt. The group noted that part of Trail F became impassable due to a downed branch and overgrown conditions. As a result of the inspection walk, the committee recommended that the Board Liaisons consider adding a new Dog Station near Trail F and to consider a landscape maintenance plan for Trail F or abandon it entirely. Eric Zarr, General Manager, will follow up on the subject of the pile of fill-dirt. Our next inspection walk will be of Trail A. If you are interested in participating in our walk please meet us on Jan. 6 at 8 am at the Potrero Trail monument in small parking lot at The Lodge. ~ Howard Ochi, hmochi47@hotmail.com Conservancy
