FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2025 65
Duplicate Bridge
To all Duplicate Bridge Players and Party Players who are interested
in moving to a new (and, some say, higher) level of the game: 2024
was a total bust for Duplicate Bridge at Four Seasons at Beaumont. We
weren't able to hold a single sessions. I continue to believe, however,
that there are enough people here who would like to play, or at least
try, duplicate bridge. Yes, it can be more serious than party bridge
but all who play this form of the game agree that it can be a lot of fun.
I hope 2025 will be a better year. I am sure that there are enough
bridge players here at Four Seasons to put together two tables. That's
all we need for a session. The plan is to have a session of Duplicate
Bridge on the second Saturday of the month, provided there is
sufficient interest. I am so looking forward to directing a session on
Jan. 11, 2025.
I have a mailing list for those interested in duplicate bridge at
Four Seasons Beaumont. Please contact me if you are not on the
list and have interest in Duplicate Bridge at Four Seasons. ~ Kirk

Rummikub
Rummikub (rummy cube) is one of the most popular games in
the world. It is a tile-based game for two to four players combining
elements of the card game rummy and mahjong. Rummikub was
invented in the 50s by Ephraim Hertzano, a Romanian-born Jew. He
had made the first sets with his family in the backyard of his home
and sold them door to door. Over the years, the family licensed it to
other countries. In the 1970s, it was brought to the United States. We
welcome you to come and join us on Mondays from 2 to 4 pm in The
Lodge Game Room. It's no problem if you have never played before.
We love to teach! If you have any questions, call me, Sherry Mounts
at (323) 810-0632.
