This is the perspective of the artist of the month, Gerardo
Fernandez.
"When my dearest wife and I were looking to move to this community, we realized
there were many activities we would enjoy participating in while living here at Four
Seasons. I was very happy to nd out that there was an art class. It was a dream
come true. I was going to be able to learn how to draw and paint some of the many
pictures we have taken on our trails, at parties in e Lodge, and beautiful places we
have visited. Anything related to nature is my calling and I thoroughly enjoy bringing
sceneries to life with my own style of painting. I get to express my love for nature and
my relationship with it.
"is bridge and the graceful tall palm trees by the pond have always caught my
eye.
"I wanted to express it in acrylics on canvas. I have walked around this area many,
many times, but never thought that one day I would be able to paint this memorable
scene. is is my third year taking the Mixed Media Art class. I need to thank all
my classmates and teacher, Rob Kelman, for their encouragement and support. ey
help me believe that if I can see it, I can draw it and paint it too. All of you have
contributed to my seeing myself as an artist. Again thank you all!"
Come and join us. Classes are held on Mondays from 10 am to 12 noon and/or
Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm. If you have any questions, call Rob at (951) 992-
9156. ~ Rob Kelman
