FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2025 57 The busy holiday season is finally behind us and the members of your Four Seasons Beaumont Water Volleyball Club hope you were able to enjoy all the festivities that took place in our community. On the evening of Dec. 20, we held our annual holiday party sponsored by HCN Bank with a catered prime rib/salmon dinner, games and entertainment. This year's event took place in The Lodge Ballroom where club members and guests were able to spread out and enjoy the festive music and dancing provided by DJ Dave. We continue our winter season indoors at the Summit, playing for two hours, three days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am and Saturdays at 1 pm. Most players find the indoor game a bit easier since the pool is shallower and the ball is softer. Water volleyball is a great way to get out of the house this winter for some low impact exercise. Everyone is welcome to come out and give it a try. You don't need to be a member of the club to play, and all ages, heights and skill levels can participate! For more information, contact Craig Korotko at korotko@msn.com. ~ Craig Korotko Water Volleyball Club It's a bit chilly out there, but that won't stop the members and guests of your Four Seasons Beaumont Lawn Chair Volleyball Club from enjoying a few fun-filled games this winter. Because of all the holiday activities last month, we had to cancel a couple of matches, but weather permitting, we will begin play again in January at 4 pm on the second and fourth Thursday of the month on The Lodge lawn area between the pickleball and paddle tennis courts. We invite you to come out enjoy some "no impact" volleyball fun! Lawn chair volleyball is played using a large, soft ball (almost like a beach ball) and a fairly low net. All you need to participate is a sturdy lawn chair and a desire to have fun with your friends and neighbors at Four Seasons Beaumont. If you're looking for a club where you can partake in a bit of friendly competition with very little physical exertion, come check us out! And bring your guests along. So grab a jacket and join in the fun! Everyone is welcome. For more information and to get your name on our email list to receive a notification when we need to cancel play, please contact Dave at dave.rohrbacker@icloud.com. ~ Dave Rohrbacker Lawn Chair Volleyball Scan QR code for membership application Bocce Ball is played on Tuesday and Friday at 9 am at The Summit. We are in our winter schedule. All are welcome to join us and be part of our Bocce Group. Any questions please feel free to call or text me at (840) 234-6494 or email me hanknegrete16@yahoo.com. ~ Hank Negrete The Hamster Ball League had a great time at our holiday seafood potluck. We filled our balls with a variety of yummy treats like shrimp cocktail, trout, calamari, sea bass, scallops, and cod. Luckily no one brought crab legs or swordfish like last year — remember how many balls needed repair?!? What a mess! If you'd like to join us for a rollicking good time, meet us Tuesdays at 10 am at The Summit. We have weekly races, bouncing competitions, and one lucky member will win the chance to roll down the street of their choice right here in Four Seasons. Mark your calendar for our Valentine dinner on Feb. 11, 5 pm, at The Lodge. We'll be filling our balls with chocolate fondue, whipped cream, brownie bites, and maple syrup. Germophobes are always welcome. ~ Sir Mix-A-Lot Bocce Ball Hamster Ball
