December was the culmination of a very successful year,
thanks to all of you! Our nal donation for the year was the
Sparks of Love Toy Drive. As a result of the generosity of the
residents of this community, we delivered a truckload of toys,
including three bicycles, to the re station to be given to children
in need. As we were delivering the items, the re station had a
call and had to rush out before a picture could be taken.
As reported at the Veterans Day Luncheon, because of the
contributions and participation in the Veterans & Friends
events, $10,000 in donations were given to various deserving
charities during the 2024 year.
e election of ocers for 2025 was held at the December
meeting. e ocers remain the same: Dave Wellfare,
President; Ralph Grider, Vice-President; Raul Villa, Events
Chairman; Dennis Haeman, Treasurer; Georgeann Wellfare,
Secretary. Planning has begun for fundraising events for 2025.
