Our 2024 fall quarter — October, November, and December — was quite competitive, yet fun-filled. Three players emerged victorious. There was a tie for first place winner … both Reggie Fuqua and Jesse Dimmer claimed the top spot. Each player scored an impressive 46 games. Reggie scored the most wins for October and November, while Jesse scored the most wins in December. The third winner, Frank Turner, scored a noteworthy win of his own with 41 games for the quarter. Congratulations to our Quarterly winners: Reggie Fuqua, Jesse Dimmer, and Frank Turner. Our next announcement for the winners of the 2025 spring quarter — January, February and March — will be in April 2025 and will post in the May 2025 Breeze. So players … get ready, get set, and go! While we enjoy the competition, we also offer relaxing sets where the aim is playing the game, win or lose. Our club is actively encouraging more players, experienced and novice, to come out and join us on Wednesday and Friday evenings. On that note, we warmly welcome newest players, Vance and Janet Ready to the club. Both are quite engaging and good players. Our club ended the year with an awesome potluck. It included fried chicken, baked macaroni and cheese, greens, desserts, egg nog, and spirits. Fun was most definitely had by all who were there. We offer joyful, fun-filled sets where players match their wits and gaming styles while attempting to "domino" — or play their last bone before other players can do so. There is soulful music in the background and (often) goodies to munch on. So, come out and join us for a rousing evening "slamming bones." The Dominoes Club plays every Wednesday and Friday from 6 until 9 pm in the Game Room. Novice players are encouraged to come out from 5 to 6 pm, on Wednesday and Friday, to learn the game. For more information, contact Reggie at (951) 743-3594 or Jesse at (714) 474-1365. ~ Roxanne Williams 66 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2025 Hearts We play Hearts every Tuesday at 6 pm in The Lodge Game Room. We welcome new players. If you don't know how to play, we'll be happy to teach you. Seating is done by random card draw. Try your luck at getting all the hearts plus the queen of spades. That takes 26 points off of your score, or, if you choose, adds 26 points to all the other players at the table. The jack of diamonds takes 10 points off of your score. The lowest score wins. It is lots of fun and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday evenings. Dominoes L-R: Jesse Dimmer, Frank Turner, and Reggie Fuqua
