| LIFE IN SOLERA | FEBRUARY 2025 | 39
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Solera Tennis Titans are
wishing you all love, good health, and happiness not just this month,
but all year long. February is traditionally a month of millions of
people expressing their love, respect, and devotion to those they
know and admire or love.
In today's world, not everyone can do this, but we must try. This
edition of Life in Solera allows tennis players to reach out to all of
you here.
May the Lord bless you all and keep you safe. If you need help
or just a friend, please reach out to me, Shirley Ferguson (909-816-
0612). If I can't help, I will certainly try to find someone who can.

TENNIS TITANS
HAPPY NEW YEAR! It looks as though this winter will
be warmer than last, which will allow us to be playing
much more pickleball. Please come join us on Mondays,
Wednesdays, and Saturdays. We start when the first four
people show up, which is usually between 7:30 and 8 am.
As you can see from the picture, six people showed up on
New Year's Day morning to play pickleball. The four in the
picture plus Richard Chabolla, who left early, and myself,
who took the picture.
Pickleball is a very fun and easy game to learn. Before
you come to play the first time watch a few videos on
YouTube. They will discuss everything from how to serve
to how to keep score and the kitchen rules. Make sure you
wear court shoes and not running shoes or trail shoes. We
have a paddle or two that you can borrow for the morning.
We can usually teach you enough about technique and the
rules, so you can play the first day you come.
If you have any questions, you can contact Sandy Stearn
at (717) 542-0481 or me, George Dietz at (614) 940-9506.
Paddles up and remember, "no ball is worth the fall." ~
