| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2025 | 23 Golden Girls' Ladies Club, yes if you have not heard the Ladies Club has added a twist to our name. We as a club wanted to enhance our creative nature and style. e Golden Girls TV show was a sitcom in the late 1980s. It featured four older women each bringing their own enduring characteristics. We as a club also bring diverse talents, personalities, and abilities. We all have a little of the original Golden Girls within us. Some are strong willed like Dorothy, getting things done. Or spacey like Rose, wondering when and where our next meeting is. Or like Blanche, the Southern Bell. We all come from someplace we cherished. Sophia, the matriarch, was a doer who stood for leadership. Here are a few of our examples of our club as doers. In January, we had our annual planning meeting for the coming year. We enjoyed our rst monthly outing gathering at Pechanga for lunch at the well-regarded Journey's End. Our February will be starting o with a bus trip to Rancho Cucamonga to see the comedic play Cruising rough the Changes, Menopause 2. We can all laugh and relate. We would like to thank the 2023-2024 board Julie Rodriguez, Maggie Coleman, Kristine Chilote, Lynne Aries. Welcome to the new Board of 2025 Julie Rodriguez, Edith Hamilton, Gitana Johnson and Ruth Ritter. Come join the fun! We have fun laughing together, planning monthly events and supporting our local community. We are always ready for something new and adventurous. We can't wait to see what March has waiting for us. Our door is always open to welcome you to join us. Our next meeting is Feb. 24 at 1:30 pm in the Ballroom. Call Julie Rodriguez at (951) 821-1970 for more information. As the Golden Girls say, "ank you for being a friend." Our Motto: Having fun, being positive, staying energized, giving back to the community.
