| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2025 | 15 The January issue of the Lifestyles Magazine on page 11 has important information in the monthly "DID YOU KNOW?" section about submitting your Home Improvement Application to the Master Architectural Committee (MAC). Edgar Lagunas in the Planning & Compliance Department is available to assist you in preparing and submitting the application. When it is complete and ready for review by the MAC he prepares the agenda for our twice monthly meetings. A comment we hear often in the process of doing our job serving as volunteers on the Master Architectural Committee is, "I didn't know that." Surprising as that seems, it's true. To be "in the know" we recommend you seek help in preparing the application. All of our holiday lighting is down now, or should be, and packed away for another year. As you consider to make changes to your exterior lighting, consider the guidelines the MAC is required to follow. They are listed in section 7.12 a, b, c, d, e, f, and g. The 40 watt limit listed under item 7.12 b and converts to 550 Lumens. So before you buy a light fixture or lamp, prepare and submit a request for approval to be "in the know" and sure it complies. ~ David Marshall Kealy, Master Architectural Committee Master Architectural Our new books and puzzles have arrived and are displayed in all four libraries. Through the generous assistance of a local bookstore, we obtained many novels by popular authors, as you indicated in the survey. We have both hardback and paperback, some with large print, such as e Readers Digest short stories in the paperback library. In addition, we have audio books in the paperback library in the end aisle. Our Library Committee needs volunteers and committee members. February encourages quality time spent at home enjoying hearty meals and comfort foods that warm you up on cozy nights by the fireplace playing games or watching movies and of course BINGO on Tuesday nights! Every week we have many winners at Bingo. Please come and join in on the fun. This month Bingo will be Feb. 11, 18, and 25; doors will open at 4:30 pm and games start promptly at 6 pm. Bring your friends and neighbors and remember everyone is welcome. We play 12 regular, and three special games and guests can play all 15 games for as little as $7 for the whole evening. Many cash prizes and door prizes are won each week. Remember CASH only — no checks or credit cards. In addition, the Restaurant & Lounge staff will provide dinner and drink service.
