54 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2025 | Which season of the year features the best weather here in the Banning Pass in which to play tennis? There may be a range of opinions for the members of our Tennis Club on this question. One thing is certain, tennis gets more difficult in the cold when that cold is combined with wind. The second week of January brought those challenging conditions. As indicated by the picture, the four women who played on court #2 (Diane Cabrera, Wendy Seirup, CJ (Claudia) Davis, and Kim Jensen) arrived all dressed up for the cool, sunny, and windy January weather. Courts #1 and #3 at that time were available for our use. Courts #4 through #6 were not playable at the time due to the incomplete work of resurfacing. By the time you're reading this article, all six tennis courts will have been resurfaced and the lines repainted. So, to our benefit, our freshly painted courts are now in pristine condition. We, as residents of Sun Lakes, are fortunate for the quality of our tennis facilities. We invite all residents to share in the joy of play. The month of March has the following Tennis Club schedule: Sat., March 2, 8 am - Mixed Doubles Drop-In (no charge). This monthly activity is open to all Sun Lakers and their guests. Sun., March 16: Quarterly Business Meeting & Spring Fling at the South Clubhouse; 5 pm, Business Meeting; 6 pm, salad, supper and desserts. Please register in advance and indicate salads and/or desserts. BYOB. All Sun Lakes residents and guests are welcome. Tennis
