| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2025 | 63 Executive Men's Golf The Executive is an 18-hole course with six challenging par fours and lots of water holes. We have a tournament on the fourth Friday of the month which includes closest to pin and circle hole contests. The next tournament is an Irish Four Ball (ABCD computer draw). Following the tournament is our quarterly meeting and luncheon. Congratulations to our Member of the Year for 2024 — Tim Hanratty. He was the publicity Chairman for four years and did an outstanding job, for the club. The yearly dues for the club are $30. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents, and all levels of golfers are welcome. Membership forms are available in the North Clubhouse Pro Shop or on the EMGC website. In another week, we will be setting our clocks ahead. We really didn't have much of a winter — what we had was a wind season. In February, we had our first meeting of the year where we gave out two more hole-in-one trophies to Bob Potts for hole #17 and Ki Bong Cho on hole #5, both on Jan. 11. That just shows how playable the Executive Course is. So if you're thinking about casual fun beginning or expert Golf come on down we play every Saturday morning and would love to meet you. All tournaments for the Men's Club will start at 8:30 am, Shotgun. The tournament schedule for March is as follows: Wed., March 5, 8:30 am: Sun Lakes Safari Modified Version #1 (A, B, C, D) Sat., March 15, 8:30 am: Two-Man Scramble, pick your partner. March 24 and 25: Greens Aerification. Great news! Our first Beef and Beer celebration is coming up on April 2 at 8:30 am. The best part is that the beef and beer are free! If you're not a member of the Men's Club, you can still play as a guest. It's a great time to meet other golfers and see what you are missing out on. The club membership dues ($40) will be collected via personal check, along with the membership application and placed into the Men's Club Box located in the Pro Shop. The fees for the SCGA will be $41 for 2025. This can be done at the Pro-Shop. We have a great team in the Pro Shop. Any questions or assistance needed with your game. This is a great place to seek help. Fees must be paid to continue playing in the Men's Club Tournaments in 2025.
