50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2025
TOPS
They say the sun still shines on a cloudy day.
Meteorologists try their best to predict weather
patterns which are a great metaphor for life.
Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and
sometimes you really don't know what is going to
happen.
Just like it's important to check the weather report before going
out for the day, it's just as important to check in with ourselves.
Internal weather reports can be done at any time, and are a nice
way to encourage self-awareness. It's also a chance to take a step
back from the day, week, or month and ref lect.
So, our group did an exercise that involved
deep breathing, mentally scanning our bodies
from head to toe. We also did deep breathing to
check on our minds and feelings. To illustrate this
graphically, we drew our internal weather report.
Most members found it quite revealing.
You may find that a group like TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)
can help you as well.
We meet on Tuesdays at 8:30 am in the Ballroom. For more
information, call Andi Henderson at (918) 497-6491. ~ Andi

Annual dues are $25 for full members (able to vote on issues) and are now
due for 2025. Please bring your payments to our meetings the fourth Thursday
of each month in The Lodge Game Room.
With the cement slab now cured and ready for installing the tiles, we still
can accept requests until March 3. If you can't make the meeting, checks can
be mailed to Mel Zeldin at 425 Yellowstone Park, Beaumont CA 92223.
Now, we want to enclose the slab in a frame that can be expanded as necessary.
Consideration is being given to have standard 7.25" x 2.25" x 0.5" brick semi-
dug around the slab. Our slab is (4+8+4+8=24' for the circumference) and
we would need 288 bricks, side-by-side. The bricks could be natural color or
painted. ~ Len Tavernetti, ltavernetti@hotmail.com
