FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2025 59
Hey there, Four Seasons Pickleball Peeps! Spring is just about to burst onto the
scene, and do you know what that means? Our already buzzing courts are about to
get even busier — and let's be honest, even more fun. The winter warriors who've
braved the cold are about to be joined by the sun-loving hibernators emerging
from their cozy dens. It's like a pickleball migration, and we love to see it.
If you haven't tried pickleball yet, there's no better time than spring to dive in.
Sunshine, fresh air, and a whole bunch of people who swear this game is better
than therapy (and cheaper, too). Let's be truthful, it's very addicting.
Spotlight Time: Speaking of diving in, let's give a big shoutout to Rick and
Nancy Van. These two joined our club about six months ago, and let me tell you
— they've been out here hustling. Rick (pictured at right, Nancy is a little camera
shy) and Nancy have been putting in the time and climbing the skill ladder fast.
Proof that a little consistency goes a long way — not just in pickleball, but in life.
Tournament Talk: From Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, Four Seasons showed up and showed
off at the Loma Linda Winter Classic. We sent 13 fierce warriors who played their
hearts out, soaked up some perfect PB weather, and made us all proud. Oh, and
not to brag (but totally bragging), FOUR of our teams brought home medals.
Congrats to all who played.
Final Reminder (aka "The Dues Blues"): Your 2025 membership is just $25 —
which is basically the best deal since all-you-can-eat buffets. Please make sure to
pay Maggie or Carol via check, cash, or Zelle (Maggie: (909) 437-4321).
That's all for now … see you on the courts. ~ Shelley Allard, shelleyallard@
