| LIFE IN SOLERA | MARCH 2025 | 31 We think of March as the beginning of spring as it brings the vernal equinox, the return of Daylight-Saving Time, and those desires for outside activities. How about some gardening, pickleball, tennis, golf, hiking, or simply longer strolls throughout our neighborhood. Don't forget to grab a bottle of water and then add it to your recycle bin for the Sunshine Club. We truly appreciate your collection and donation of recyclables each month. Let's take a moment to talk about recycling. We accept all plastic water, juice and tea drink bottles with caps removed and labels securely attached to the container, as well as all aluminum cans (for which you paid the redemption fee). Each recyclable item must be clearly imprinted on its label or side or even top with the words CA- CRV or CA CASH REFUND. We do NOT accept any glass even if it meets the above criteria. We have found that breakage becomes a real hazard to our volunteers as we must go through every bag and sort it into plastic vs. aluminum and then by the type of plastic as noted on the bottom of the container. For this reason, we would also like to ask that you make sure all containers are empty before placing them in bags to bring to the Sunshine Club Recycle drop off by the mail room. Thank you for all your effort and support. We look forward to seeing you at the Craft Fair this month. Stop by for some coffee, cookies, and a warm smile. If you have any questions about our club or activities, feel free to ask one of our members or contact Diane Coffman at (949) 295-1097. We meet on the third Wednesday of the month at pm in the Arts & Crafts Room and would love for you to join us! SUNSHINE CLUB Sunshine Helpers Needed! Chronic illnesses, hospitalization, and/or death can hit people hard. If you have a friend or neighbor here in Solera who needs a spark of sunshine, let members of the Sunshine Club know. For your convenience, the yellow Sunshine Box is located on the table in the Mail Room where you can drop off the information for a resident or residents who are sick or have experienced a death in the family. Sometimes just a card or telephone call will brighten someone's day immensely.
