Let's Talk Stucco!
is is a reminder that an application is required before
performing any exterior modications/changes to your home.
Examples of such work would include painting, patio covers,
windows, etc.
Now, let's talk about stucco. Stucco takes up the biggest
portion of your house. It protects and seals it. Painting a house is
expensive! You want it to last. According to most painters, a good
paint job should last 7 to 10+ years.
What does a good paint job require?
1. A quality painter.
2. Two coats of a quality paint.
3. Clogged rain gutters can ruin a good paint job. Be sure to
clean your gutters so they are not overowing and staining
your paint.
4. Check the bolts/screws attaching the gutters to your house.
If they rust, it can drip down your stucco causing another
type of stain.
5. Sprinklers can cause damage to the house both on the
house and perimeter walls. It is a good idea to check that
sprinkler heads are not spraying your stucco. If you notice
this, please ll out a form with the Landscape oce to have
it checked and make any necessary corrections.
6. Keep bushes/shrubs trimmed so they are not leaning
against your stucco.
Once again, thank you for maintaining your property.
