| THE COLONY NEWS | MARCH 2025 | 3 From the Desk of Pat Kight, Director I hope many of you have had the opportunity to either attend or watch the Town Hall meeting regarding the patio renovation. Our architectural team, Van Dyke Landscape Architects, made a wonderful presentation and truly captured the desires of the subcommittee comprised of some of your friends and neighbors. I want to take this opportunity to recognize and thank Tony Harris, Sharon Carlson, Judy Gerber, Bob Miller and Jeanne Bender for all the time and eort they put into coming up with a design that I think you will be very proud of and one that will serve our community for many years to come. I believe what makes this community such a wonderful place to live is all the volunteers who make up all our committees and clubs. Folks give freely of their time to review architectural standards, inspect landscape, prepare for emergencies, provide technical support for the wonderful events hosted in the Auditorium, publish the monthly magazine and so much more. I think I can speak for the entire Board when I say that we can't do what we do without their support and recommendations. It truly is valued and appreciated. Volunteerism is the very essence of who we are as a community. We are constantly looking for more folks to step up and make a dierence. Do you have an interest in some of our activities? Do you have a couple of hours a month to help shape your community? Meeting and working alongside new friends and neighbors is fun and rewarding. If you are interested in helping out, please stop by the HOA oce and pick up an application. I'm sure we can nd a spot for you. Now go out and do a random act of kindness. You will have a better day because of it.
