By Joann Bush Recently I have become a caregiver. At each meeting we share ideas and resources. e SERT Family Caregivers meets the third ursday of each month from 7 to 8 pm at the Clubhouse. It is a friendly and safe environment where you can relax, share personal stories and frustrations, and the challenges and struggles we face providing care for our loved ones. By sharing information, we learn from each other. If you are caring for a loved one, please join us. You are not alone. ere is a resource box lled with a great deal of information to ensure that as you navigate your journey you will know that help is available. If you are taking care of a parent, partner or other loved one, our group is here for you. e more educated and prepared you are, the better your caregiver skills will be. e best part is the support and understanding we get from each other. SERT Family Caregivers By Tom Porter, President Happy St. Patrick's Day! I just have a couple of things to address that were brought to my attention. Regarding the front gate o Cannon: I would like to thank the patience of residents entering the front gate. Sometimes the Ocer is preoccupied with either assisting the guest attempting to enter the community or on the phone either adding guest, answering questions, or gathering information about an incident within the community. We are doing our best to open the gate as fast and eciently as possible, while we are still waiting for the installation of the license plate reader. A reminder of dogs o leash within the community: It is against rules and regulations to have your pets o leash on the property. When you are out and about, please have your pets on a leash. While we are a gate community and the sense of security is there, accidents happen all the time. at's why they're called accidents. No matter how prepared you may think you are or the notion "my dog listens to me all the time." A random incident can happen. Any questions regarding rules and regulations, please do not hesitate to contact the front gate. I or any of the other ocers will gladly answer them, we seek compliance and adherence to the rules established at Ocean Hills Country Club. Any conducts that you would like for me to address with community patrol, please give me a call or email. at should be it for now! As always, thank you OHCC residents, for your vital role in our community. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the rules. We are committed to serving you and the community; your feedback is invaluable. If you have any concerns or suggestions that you would like to see addressed in a future issue of OHCC Living Magazine, we encourage you to share them. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone. My oce at the front gate is always open to residents. ~ Tony Duong, Account Manager, Securitas Security Services, (760) 766-1458, cell (760) 505-2146, Tony.Duong@securitasinc.com Community Patrol Services
