By the time this is distributed the RV Club will have traveled to Fortuna Del Oro in Yuma for their first event of the year. This has been an annual event that the club has been doing for years. Always a lot of fun, and the weather is definitely much better than here at Sun Lakes. Our next trip is set for May 4 - 9 at Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles. If you haven't made your reservations call Anthony at 925-334-1349. Monday will be game day in the morning and dinner of street tacos provided by the Cardella's and Bonnie Aulwes and Gary Balcom. Tuesday is golf day, with numerous courses available; it just depends on how much you want to spend. Wednesday afternoon is at the Tin City Distillery, and the evening ends with a banquet. Thursday is a free day to visit all the wineries you want. If you have any questions, call Lupe Cardella at (310) 871-3862. We will be having a summer potluck on July 29. More info to follow later on. Our fall trip will be to Jackson, Ca. This is from Sept. 28 to Oct. 3. The campground is Jackson Rancheria. The group has been there several times. The campground is great, the area is very scenic, and everyone that has gone in the past still raves about how nice it is. Trail Bosses are Leon and Harriet Fikse. So how many of you are Elk members? I suspect quite a few. Last week we visited the Elk's Lodge in Boulder City, NV. The Lodge is one of the best I've seen. The Lodge itself is roomy and has special dinners several nights each week, plus it is located in a very friendly city just outside of Henderson, NV. Hoover Dam isn't far from the campground. They have 15 full hookup sites that will accommodate 40 footers. The city has a beautiful Veterans Memorial Park, that you should visit. There are numerous restaurants with fine food and very reasonable prices. There are also many classic cars seen on local roads. Our April birthday kids are Jim Ball 4/19, Donna Broyles 4/12, Jim Caldwell 4/14, Don Day 4/17, Randy Lauder 4/20, Teresa Solomon-Billings 4/21, and Tom Vida, 4/6.
