No April Fools here! Our monthly meeting will take place on April 17 at 6 pm (doors open at 5:15 pm). This month, we're thrilled to welcome back one of our favorite presenters, Heidi Daniels from Michael David Winery. Heidi is renowned for her expertise and for consistently delivering wines that exceed expectations. Additionally, Perry Goldstein will be providing entertainment and laughs, so be prepared for a good time! As always, please bring: • Two glasses • A bottle to share (your choice) • Something to share with your table (snacks or a dish to complement the wines) If you have four wines (two red and two white) that you'd like to present to the group, please reach out to me by email or phone. We encourage our members to share their insights and contribute to the experience. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! ~ Tom DePaola, tomdepaola@ roadrunner.com, (714) 404-1956 40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2025 Our March meeting (above) was held despite the cold and damp weather. Only nine die-hard members showed up. The low number of attendees did not hamper the mood or conversations. The Car Show season is gearing up. The Car Show to benefit Carol's Kitchen is June 7 at the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church. More info to come. Have you noticed all the cars (above) that fill the parking lot at the Sonic Drive-In (1610 E. 1st St.), every second Saturday of the month from 9 to 11 am? Bring your car or walk around and enjoy the beautiful cars. Over 100 owners show up with their cars. This Month's Tip — Microfiber Towels Do's And Don'ts: "They're just towels" you may say, but if you want them to last and retain their effectiveness, they need more care than your ordinary shop rags. DO keep your microfiber towels together in a clean storage space like a Rubbermaid container. They absorb dirt so easily that a carelessly stored one will be dirty before you even use it. DON'T keep towels that are soiled or dropped on the ground with clean towels; place them with the soiled microfiber towels NOT with other dirty or oily rags. DO reuse your towels. Microfiber towels can last many years. Use a general purpose microfiber towel to clean interior, then wash them. After several washings they begin to fade but are still useful. DON'T wash your microfiber towels with scented detergent which can damage the fibers and make them less effective at trapping dirt. DO separate your towels from other laundry. Keep the really dirty towels away from the lightly soiled towels. DO air-dry your towels. Heat from your dryer can damage the delicate fibers. If you're in a rush, use your dryer's lowest setting. Avoid high heat. USE YOUR MICROFIBER TOWELS FOR: DRYING: Towels with a big heavy nap are great for drying a wet car, but not so great for wiping off polish. POLISHING: Larger edgeless towels are good at picking up polishing compound residue without scratching the paint. CLEANING WHEELS, ENGINES,AND OTHER GREASY AREAS: A roll of disposable microfiber towels from WalMart is perfect for down and dirty cleaning, when the towel gets too dirty, just throw it away and rip a new one from the roll. GLASS: Microfiber towels are two sided. One side has a thick nap that is perfect for getting bugs and gunk off the windshield. The other side has no nap, just a smooth nylon finish, that's good for streak-free final wipe down. We meet the first Saturday of every month at 9 am in The Lodge parking lot. Our next meeting is April 5. Hope to see you there.
