FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2025 5 Message from the Board Welcome to spring! This is the time of the year our community is in full bloom and how beautiful it is! Take a walk on any of the trails, or through the Paseo, or just spend time at the pollinator garden that is located at The Summit. Take time to look at all the colors and blooms and enjoy the beauty right in our own community. There are numerous developments occurring within the community. I am pleased to inform you that we obtained permits and anticipate commencing work on The Courts building within one to two weeks. By the time you read this, work should be underway. Obtaining the replacement window and f looring material may cause delays; however, we did request expedited shipping. The Courts should be back in business very soon. The Board of Directors (BOD) approved the members for our new, yet to be named, Ad Hoc Committee in the March BOD meeting. This Ad Hoc Committee will explore insurance trends as well as look at fire protection needs for the community. We have such a diverse community with an array of knowledge to bring to the table. We are fortunate to utilize the talents of a retired fire captain, and insurance broker, a landscape expert, a retired member of the Forestry Department, and a retired Southern California Edison employee who worked with high voltage lines. In addition to the many talented people on this committee, the BOD liaisons are Jerry Monahan, Berry Ginnetti, and me. Our BOD President Jerry Monahan and I, along with the FirstService Management team members Eric Zarr and Lynne Cesario, meet monthly with the Beaumont City Manager, Elizabeth Gibbs. Our conversations are candid, and we always walk away with valuable information about Beaumont. Elizabeth Gibbs and Mayor Mike Lara were speakers at our March Neighborhood Watch meeting. I hope you were able to attend and get any question you have answered. One of the activities for our 20th Anniversary was to pick up a name tag at the front desk when you enter any facility. Residents were encouraged to wear name tags and get to know someone with whom you were otherwise not acquainted. This was a great idea in so many ways. Most residents were able to address everyone by name. One of the things I love about Four Seasons is the respect everyone has for each other. I still enjoy this today, eight years later, because kindness matters. The Board of Directors meet for the General Board Session the second Thursday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Meet with the Board, however, is a less formal gathering held the third Wednesday of each month at 2 pm in the Ballroom. This forum allows Board members to engage in conversation with residents on almost any subject except issues under litigation or topics discussed in Executive Board Session. Several members of the Board are in attendance each month. If you have any questions, please contact me at (714) 722-1301 or kathycravenbod@yahoo.com. By Kathy Craven, Board Vice President
