| THE COLONY NEWS | APRIL 2025 | 5 BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING HIGHLIGHTS: FEB. 20, 2025 Highlights are a condensed preliminary dra of the Open Session minutes. Aer review and approval by the Board at the next meeting, and the incorporation of any changes, the minutes will become official. A copy of the official minutes is available in the HOA Office. Bosworth vs. e Colony HOA et al: President Dalfonso informed the Membership that resident Glenn Bosworth submitted 16 Causes of Action in his First Complaint. e Judge dismissed Actions 1–9 and 14 but ordered a Meet and Confer to determine whether an agreement can be reached on Actions 10–13 and 15–16. e hearing is scheduled for April 17, 2025. Majestic Asset Management Update: President Dalfonso informed the Membership that Majestic Asset Management has filed a Petition for Review with the California State Supreme Court. Majestic's Petition for Review is intended to challenge the Court of Appeal's decision to uphold the Superior Court's original ruling to foreclose on the golf course. e Association submitted its response to the Petition last week. e matter is pending with the Supreme Court to determine whether the Petition for Review will be accepted or not. Nextdoor Platform: President Dalfonso informed the Membership that a misleading narrative was posted on the Nextdoor platform under Jen Huang's name regarding the golf course journey that conflicts with the Court's findings and the fact that the Association has prevailed at every stage of the legal process. Ms. Huang claimed the golf course was debt-free when the Receiver took control, despite three years of litigation over a supposed lien. e Nextdoor post is urging people to sign a petition supporting her narrative. President Dalfonso reassured residents that the Board is moving forward and advised them not to be concerned about the petition. Golf Course Update: President Dalfonso informed the Membership that the golf course has been very busy – which is good news, and as a result, there is no funding request for February. Patio Project: President Dalfonso stated that he has received positive feedback from residents regarding the Patio Project. Director Kight will provide further details later in the meeting. Meeting with the Fire Chief Bernard Molloy: President Dalfonso stated that he, Director Ross, and General Manager Jim Morgan met with City of Murrieta Fire Chief Bernard Molloy to discuss the Fire Department's emergency and evacuation protocols. Chief Molloy confirmed that evacuation plans are in place. Mr. Molloy will meet with Director Ross and the Emergency Preparedness Committee to clarify roles during an evacuation to ensure a smooth coordination. Chief Molloy agreed to attend a Town Hall tentatively scheduled for March 26, 2025, to outline emergency preparedness and the resources available to Colony residents. Architectural Appeal (Machlin): e Architectural Appeal to review Helena Machlin's ACC application for veneers was tabled. January 2025 Golf Course Subsidizing Request: e golf course did not submit a funding request for February 2025. Continued on next page
