As you can see below, your board has been hard at work to provide entertainment that is creative, funny, fun, meaningful, unusual, exciting, educational, and thought-provoking. Ballet Forklórico El Tapatio de San Dieguito was terric! We showed the love in numbers and enthusiasm. All members are welcome to join the eatre Arts Wednesday classes, which meet from 1 to 3 pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Actors' Workshop is led by Charmayne Huntley (CharmayneHuntley@gmail.com), and Playreaders is led by Anita Simons (ASimonSays@gmail.com). Please check your emails each month for dates, topics and room assignments. Upcoming events: April 7 - Adam Shapiro, of Billy Nation fame: A tribute to Billy Joel, returns to OHCC for a solo performance. Come and enjoy an evening of song, dance and excitement! Doors open at 6:30. We'll have cabaret seating so, bring something to nosh and sip! e event is open to the community. Please register at the front desk for this event! It is free to members and $10 for non- members payable in advance and at the door. May 5th – e kids are keeping their promise! e Civic Youth Orchestra is returning to OHCC. Stay tuned for specics via email and yers. Our next regular Board meeting will be held April 16, at 11 am, in a room to be assigned. Regular Board meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 11 am, and are open to all eatre Arts members, so please do come and join us. Join eatre Arts so you can participate in all of our entertainment and activities. Our annual dues are currently $15. With that small amount, you will enjoy all membership privileges. From 10 members, we have grown to 104 members. Our restaurant luncheons, the fourth ursday of the month, are growing steadily. February saw 42 ladies dining and enjoying restaurants. And of course, what was especially wonderful was having Doctor Sand Sundell, Psychologist, address the ladies at our March meeting. She has recently become a writer for Village Voice. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to ask her questions and get her advice. e April 19 meeting will feature Laurel Glover to our midst, we expect to hear an inspirational talk about recovering and living life to the fullest aer facing a devastating physical malady. We have Julie Baumer to thank for all the wonderful programs she brings to our monthly club meeting. Something she has been doing for several years. We are also fortunate to have people like Arline Kennedy, who for a long time has been treasured for this wonderful inspirational club. We always want people to know that Club W, originally the (Widows Club) is actively pursuing the idea of helping people and having fun along the way. Elizabeth Westwater, a retired new member, jumped right in with an idea, "How about we meet the second Monday of each month in the Lamia room at 4 pm for drinks and nosh?" ere have been two of these meetings already, and they have been a huge success. So, join us on April 14 to enjoy another such evening. And on urs., April 24, let's have lunch at a local restaurant to be named.
