Shrink Wrap, e Golf Course Lake And Fire Prevention
Perhaps you've seen the two electrical boxes surrounded on
three sides by a low wall across the street from the Buttery Park.
Our Master Board has given us the approval to cover these unclad
boxes with a colorful shrink wrap, aer which they will look like
the photo.
As most of you know, we have been looking forward to having
a lake on the golf course for a few years to lter the ground water
coming from the well and, of course, to catch golf balls! To quote
out Board President, Greg Kusiak in last month's OHCC Living,
"We are expecting our permit on Valentines Day, but we have
been stood up on this date several times before."
While the hole is being excavated for the lake, the dirt will be
transported to the back of the golf course near the back gate and
landscaped so that there will be a more gradual ascent to Leisure
Village Way.
Our Master Board common areas are being maintained to
assure the buer zones are being cleared. As noted in the March
OHCC Living article, buer zones create defensible space between
the property and surrounding plants. Currently clearing of brush
between our homes and the abutment of preserve areas (under the
City of Carlsbad) is being done across the land that circumvents
our community. is is done annually to keep the perimeters
safe in threats of re and as an extra caution sprinklers will be
turned on.
